It is an extremely rare mineral formed by the combination of <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrystalcouncil.com\/crystals\/aegirine\">Aegirine<\/a> (Green) and <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrystalcouncil.com\/crystals\/orthoclase\">Orthoclase<\/a> (Brown). It crystallizes in the form of masses, with a unique spotted pattern of Aegirine displayed throughout. This mineral was discovered in the early 1960s in Nundora, New South Wales, Australia. The deposit was unusually small and mined to extinction within just a few years.<\/p><p>This was partially due to the popularity it received amongst Australian lapidary artists during that time. Since then, there have been multiple rumored reports of another vein of Nundoorite discovered in New Zealand. We have not been able to independently confirm this.
