It crystallizes in the form of stalactites, crusts, botryoidal, fibrous, and masses. The color is usually a light brown, due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrystalcouncil.com\/crystals\/rhyolite\">Rhyolite<\/a> rock located directly underneath most geysers. There have also been reports of <a href=\"https:\/\/thecrystalcouncil.com\/crystals\/obsidian\">Obsidian (Black)<\/a>-based Geyserites as well.<\/p>\n<p>This mineral was discovered in 1812 by French mineralogist J.C. Delametherie in Iceland, and chose the name \u201cGeryserite\u201d after its unique formation.<\/p>\n<p>Most Geyserite deposits are on state or federally-owned land, not just in the USA, but also throughout the world. This makes acquiring any natural material extremely challenging, thus increasing it\u2019s rarity and value.<\/p>\n<p>A majority of pieces on the market come from previously acquired collections such as old estate lots or from international countries in which the laws of removing natural resources on state-owned lands in not enforced.<\/p>\n<p>Common occurrences of Geyserite can be found in Hungary, Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Iceland, and the USA.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Formation<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The crystal is formed near or around hot springs and geysers by groundwater flowing through Rhyolite rock. This material is then naturally heated from the earth and begins to dissolve.<\/p>\n<p>Slowly this silica-rich water begins to breach the surface and finally erupt out of the Geysers, which causes the mineral-rich water to cool, and even partially evaporate.<\/p>\n<p>The material that is left is what we refer to as Geyserite, an extremely lightweight mineral that can be found within proximity to most active hot springs around the world.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Meaning &amp; Origin<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In 2017 a piece of Geyserite from Western Australia, specifically the Pilbara Craton, was examined and found to contain fossilized microorganisms.<\/p>\n<p>After further research, it is estimated that this lifeform is estimated to be 3.48 billion years old, making it the earliest known lifeform on Earth.<\/p>\n<p>Geyserite is a very strong stone to ground your energy and allow your emotional body to resonate in the physical world. Humanity has never been taught how to deal with all emotions, not just positive ones.<\/p>\n<p>This takes a toll on nearly everybody as they go through life and experience the high and low energy points that come with it. When meditating with this stone you can feel a sense of security and strength being built around your spiritual body. It gives an essence of you that does not receive the required attention it deserves.<\/p>\n<p>We may think and feel that we are only physical beings. Some of the material that is naturally blasted out into our environment can come from deep within Earth&#8217;s crust.
