Vatican Stone Crystal, also known as Frosterley Marble. It is a bituminous limestone with fossilized crinoids, coral, and brachiopod inclusions. This stone is technically not a marble. But appears to show the same traits when polished. Also being used similarly as an interior decorative stone.

The name of this stone comes from the village of Frosterley located in Stanhope, County Durham, England. Here it is believed to have formed over 325 million years ago.

This is the only known deposit of this stone and is highly valued for religious buildings worldwide.
